Golden Gate Bridge and Fort Point

The big brick pile under the bridge is Fort Point. It was built in 1853, and was fully garrisoned during the Civil War in case the Confederates attacked. They never did.

We couldn't go inside because it was 8:00 on a Sunday morning.
