Celeste at Postcard Row
Here's Celeste n front of Postcard Row.
There is no shortage of handsome Victorians in San Francisco, but these re the most photographed because there is a park across the street so you can get far enough away to take a picture and because, when the sun is at a better angle, there is a fabulous view of the San Francisco skyline behind them.
They were built between 1892 and 1896 by a developer named Matthew Kavanaugh, who built the house on the far right for himself. They have survived the 1906 earthquake and drastic attempts at urban renewal in the 11960's and 70's.
Several more pictures follow, in case anyone needs ideas for paint colors!
