Kitchen set 1

I am attempting to make my own kitchen furnishings. Up until now, most of my furniture making has been in kit form unless you count the bedside table made from a wooden spool. The counter in this shot was made from a Michael's hutch. Originally, I planned on having working doors but the balsa I was working with wasn't compliant to my wishes. So I glued the doors on. I also discovered that the hutch was not level and that wasn't something I could easily fix.<BR>Overall, things were not going according to plan so... I decided to have fun with the colors and all.<BR>Love the floor paper, the whole kitchen is being designed around the floor. <BR>The fridge is made from balsa and came together much easier that the counter. I need to hit it with some mod podge to make it shiny and paint the handles. It's primitive but I like it and I have a better idea of how to make my next one.<BR>My next project will be upper cabinets and a stove.
