Gerald has a body at last
I made Gerald's head last October. He was my second attempt at a doll house person. My first was Cyril who was made with a hard coded clay body in the sitting position and consequently was very difficult to dress. Most of Cyril's clothes are just glued on - very little actual tailoring. After a lot of help and advice from people on here, Gerald actually has a fully poseable body (he actually stands up on his own too) and his clothes are all sewn - and are removeable. Can you tell - I'm glowing with a little pride here. He's wearing a smart pin striped suit, brocade waistcoat, dress shirt (not removeable - this is stuck to him) and bow tie. his shoes are real leather and polished to a high shine with a dab of clear nail polish. He had a delicate pink rosebud in his collar and is checking the time on his pocketwatch.<br><br>His jacket collar is still not completed and his hands need a coat of paint but I'l finish that tonight. Just couldn't wait to get him in the gallery. <img style="vertical-align: middle;" border="0" alt="banana.gif" src="http://www.greenleafdollhouses.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/default/banana.gif" emoid="<img src='http://www.greenleafdollhouses.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/default/banana.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />">
