The Beaumont has been hard wired, downstairs lights are wired directly to the tap running on the floor in the room above.
The upstairs is hard wired to a plug [ that may change to directly to the tape now that I figured out little tricks that make it easier for me]
NEVER take the covering off the wires until its threaded through your hole in the ceiling and then carefully split the lamp wire, Then thread the brad, [ THE WIRE ITSELF WITH THE COVERING STILL ON WILL PICK UP A BRAD AND THREAD WITH EASE!
make sure your holes for the brad are big enough and then you may strip each wire when you are ready to attach. I keep mine lamp wires long now and just tape them down when task is completed.
I WAS FOLLOWING OTHER INSTUCTIONS AND IT WAS A NIGHTMARE.
