Stained, still need polyurethane, would love comments on the color, I know it's much lighter than what I usually see used.

I think the colour is great, I prefer lighter wood to the darker stained wood. That's a personal preference but I suppose it depends on the era your house will belong to. The stairs look wonderful, I would certainly leave them that colour.
