Laurel siding, using sheets

Nileke

It was hard to find siding for my Laurel. Or rather, I did manage to find suitable wood, but that would cost as much as the Laurel itself. So far I love working with these sheets. The overlap is pre-milled and they have a groove.

As long as the very first sheet is on correctly, you can't go wrong. I'm using a hand fret saw, and I'm very pleased to see my sawing skills improve.

Of course the front wall and the other wall have windows and doors, so those walls will take longer. Still, it took me only an hour to saw the siding, glue and finish this wall.
