The dinette II: finished

havanaholly

I traced the pieces I wanted to upholster onto posterboard and cut them out, and glued the card piece onto a sheet of thin foam packing material I had saved for the purpose, and when they were dry I laid them out on the tie material and cut around the pieces, leaving enough room to turn under the cut edges of the tie & glue them. It only took the narrow half of the necktie to do the dinette benches. I used paint to make the table top look like the sleazy formica the TT people use in RL dinettes, coating the top in two coats of clear nail enamel when done to make it shiny.
