Miniature logs

minikelli

Found a branch while walking with my dog in the woods. Still very "wet", and obvious it had just fallen not so long ago. Anyways, I picked it up and took it back with us to the shop. This is the very beginnings after cutting it on the band saw and baking it.

*For anyone questioning the "baking", I do this at 200 degrees Fahrenheit for an hour. Let the wood cool to room temp, and then repeat. This is to ensure if there will be any cracking/shrinkage it does so slowly, as well as to make sure there are no extra inhabitants like termites, ants, etc.
