Castle stage

WyckedWood

I started on two dolls last week that I wanted to be in renaissance style costume. Then I got the bright idea that I needed a stage setting for them, a stage I could use for them and any other medieval, Tudor, or even witchy type dolls that may come in the future.

I've never done much with foam core as far as using it for a structure but this has been surprisingly fun, being able to bend walls at will, create stairs and and false walls etc. This design I'm using comes from Susan Sirkis and her vintage 70s era Fashioning Miniatures, Wish Booklets, but I took some liberties with it, including that it's not going into a boxed enclosure when it's finished, it'll just be like an open air Shakesperean stage type look. I wanted to be able to move lights in different places, curtains etc.
