Della

WyckedWood

This is another doll that I'm working on at the moment, I named her Della. Bought her on eBay already China painted and put together but she had been put together in a way that was not proportionate so I took her all apart, put her back together and completely repainted her face. She comes from the mammy mold by Parker Levi which is the same body, different head as their Mrs Claus. Very challenging to get the clothes fitted right but I'm having fun doing this makeover. I have her in mind as a maid, along with Gertie for my MHM but that could change.

Here I'm draping her cotton petticoat using pins and magic sizing. Then her over skirt is done as well. If you have enough layers and get them stiff enough you don't need a doll stand which is my goal.
