Getting that smooth silky surface

How did you get it so smooth?   I have this kit languishing in the closet for some time now.   I will like to see how you finish it!  :)

I sanden the kit Wall first with three different coarse sandpaper, lightly sanding all over so to speak. Then a coat of gesso (Applied with a sponge in cirkulating motions)  more sanding with the finast sandpaper and repeat two Times....

Indeed! I am thinking spray painting would do the trick too.
