Third floor construction progress

Debora59

Today I am moving a lot slower. I wore myself out yesterday.

I am learning as I go here, but had some ideas on how to accomplish the peaked roof,  I am beginning to see how it should fit together, there are two tall peaks with each end room and 2 smaller dormers in the middle section, the exterior will have a ridge of some sort between the 2nd and 3rd floors I am planning some tall windows in the back center room and a terrace. one of the rooms upstairs may be an office, and another possibly a toys in the attic type room,

Most of what you see is a dry fit. The front peak [ Gable? ] will need recut but now I know how to do it.

So this is exciting but now I am actually thinking of making an alternate roof style sort of like Lyndhurst castle with it higher in the middle section and a tower. OMG. Not sure when and if I will do it but it started to bug me yesterday and then again today, I will put pen to paper and see. Anyone ever make a house with an alternate roof?
