DIY Miniature Leather Nailhead Couch

MLI Designs

I have one more back pillow to complete but wanted to share with you. I'm sure for a miniaturist who is very proficient with building miniature furniture and scaling, this would be wonderful. Using the chalkpaint really does give the effect of leather. I used a "Java" colored chalkpaint by Folkart and did some random mixing of Mustard Yellow acrylic paint to give a slight distressed look. I really like the look which is not something I have seen available for purchase.

the basic form of the couch I made with foam board and wrapped with a very light weight batting.

Hope you all try it out and share your creations.

Nope, when I see something I don't like, I don't put a comment at all. Lately, there have been a few member's builds I have been really impressed with, and yours is one of them.

I've been even more impressed with your build because you are new to this, and you seem to try a new technique every day. Stonework, leaded glass, furniture, cabinets, lights, I really am impressed!

@kathi17 awwww, my night was going to be good (heading out to see the Phantom of the Opera) but now it's great. Thank you.

I too amvery impressed with all the creativity. It motivates me to try more, experiment, and become more thrifty with DIY.

Thank you so much for making me feel great about my dollhouse.
