Wire scroll DIY bed

MLI Designs

i decided to scale down all my furnishing for my Sugarplum dollhouse since it really is a very small house. I tried a brass bed my mother gave me but it overwhelmed the whole upstairs room. So this motivated me to make my own bed scaled down. I don't even know what the scale would be as I'm going by sight. I do know it's smaller than 1:12 and larger than 1:24.

i basically took, scraps of wood and beads to create the main bed. I love wired and brass beds but since I have my own scale, I couldn't purchase one to fit.

I decided to take some wire and experiment with the footboard.

I measured out the space to work with and made a drawing of a basic scroll design. I cut my wire and started bending it to match exactly (or best as possible) to my drawing. I braced the two metal wire pieces in foam board. I cut slits and slide, the pieces it to hold it in place while the glue is hardening.

Once grill is secure, I glued onto footboard frame. I will replicate same design for headboard. Once dried I will prime, then paint whole bed with milk paint
