Nice job on the base, and now you are getting a feel for the houses size and shape! One thing that I do to strengthen my bases, is to cut square pieces of wood, the same height as the base  into 3" long pieces and glue them between where the base and floors meet in places. I wish I had taken some photos of my grandsons' houses to show you what I mean. It really adds a lot of support to the house.

I think I understand what you mean...like adding additional joists under the sub floor in addition to the pieces the kit already has (as in the picture, the pieces going across the inside of the base).  I'm holding onto all the extra side pieces after popping out the kit pieces just in case I decided to do any extra things like that or break anything and it's small enough to re-craft out of scraps.

I actually don't run them like floor joists, I glue them against and parallel to the sides so they hold them in place and keep them from flexing or breaking off while I'm assembling or moving the house. It's surprising how much strength they add, especially if you have to flip the house around while you are building it.

When I built the Taft, I had to turn it upside down and on it's sides for certain steps, and parts of the foundation kept coming off until I reinforced them. Since it was for my six year old grandson, and we had to transport the house in the back of the truck for a two day drive, (I have a cap on my truck), I don't think it would have made it all the way, or survived the grandson if I hadn't!

I have a good visual of what you mean now.  I want mine to be sturdy, especially since I know I will be moving it, most likely before I even complete it so I'll might just do both ideas to ensure its extra secure!
