My grandparents and me

I agree. Once I told one of my aunts that I was making a house as close to their house as I could, she mailed me lots of pictures. I love seeing them. My grandfather built the house in the mid 1930s , so I gave them a little upgrade. They did grow up during the depression, so there should be a little more clutter. They kept everything " just in case" they could use it for something else. I still have lots of work ahead of me, but I'm keeping this house forever, so it can take as long as it needs.

Oh my, I just realized with viewing this picture, what you were really up to with this build. I guess I've been out to lunch as I've watched but didn't catch the backstory. This is wonderful Kari. How precious for your family to have this recreated. Great idea, great memories, great job.
