Thrift store finds.
For a couple months now, I have been thinking about doing a potting shed roombox for Mom, who is an avid gardener... If I am going to get it done by Mother's Day, I need to start on it already! I found this little crate and picture frame at the local thrift store and I think it will work fine to make a roombox that can be hung on the wall. (Also found the jewelry box, which would make a great roombox for a more formal vignette. The little doilies are of a really thin fabric which will make good linens or curtains.) Mom really liked the egg-carton stone work I did for the Orchid chimney, so I will finish the crate in egg-carton stone inside and out, with paperclay tiling for the floor. First step, need to figure out where windows are going to be, and cut them out-- perhaps a French door would fit as well.
