Chimney from the back. I cut out the side roof overhang (front and back) to accommodate the chimney at the roof peak, and I cut off the scallops on the back roof piece.

I've never been a fan of the scalloped edge.... I think all 4 Buttercups I've done I have either cut off or hid the scalloped edge.  Have I mentioned I think this is a wonderful idea (giggle).... I love Tudors so! and it's going to be so fun watching you build this one.
