my paperclay was bad so I went looking on the internet for some techniques to achieve the same thing with stuff on hand

found a tutorial using egg shells....make sure to get all the skin out of the inside...

Cool idea.

I remember years ago, saving egg shells for craft projects. We used to color them as well as glitter them and keep them in separate containers (before the baggie phenomena). Then the kiddos would take coloring book pages and mount them on cardboard and then "paint" with all the beautiful egg shell colored pieces. We framed them and all .

I think this is a much better use than what we did with them. Love the effect.
