primrose kitchen bash

November 24th. I spent the afternoon and evening working on the primrose kitchen bash. Looks great, I just need to do some tweaking when i put it together. All the exterior architectural stuff will come together after i get the main body of the house put together. Until then, I'll wait to put the additional completely together, i don't want to find out after i glue it that it needs some fine tuning  I've got a couple of ideas for the exterior of the addition, but i want to get the main body of the house completed, then glue on the extension, then experiment with my ideas.

I've come up with some other ideas since working on the addition. For one, the addition will have a deck area on the roof. I don't have a tool to cut a door into the side of the house, and since it's together already, the exacto knife isn't my idea of fun....so i'm putting a false door on the inside and exterior of the "former" bathroom. I'll post pictures tomorrow, it will make more sense.

I finally came up with a window for the new addition, it goes above the sink and i like this layout of the room better (pic's tomorrow). I think i will have to build my own shelf unit for food items since the space behind the stove is limited. I think this will be one of my favorite rooms! I just love that wall of windows!

As for the bathroom, i decided to switch places with the library...so the library will be above the new dining room and the bathroom will be on the 3rd floor. A tiny bit inconvenient for the mini people, but they will get a cool room for the bath! I think the wallpaper i use in the bath will look lovely in that cool room!

Plans for tomorrow...sand the staircases and stain, wallpaper hallways. That should be enough to keep me busy!

That was Andrews idea! I told him that i wanted to put in a door, but since i already had the walls up i couldn't cut it with an exacto knife without messing it up. I almost ditched the idea completely...until he said "what about a false door"? Well my heavens what a great idea...don't know why i didn't think of that!

I'm excited, i took the door from the primrose and will use that for the exterior. I cut one for the inside, using the exterior door as a template. It will look great!
