Decorating the first floor!

I've been wallpapering!! I have dry-fit all the walls (dry-fit means taping together to ensure they fit well rather than gluing) and papered all of the downstairs rooms. The things I can't decorate at this stage are the bay windows/doors in the kitchen, dining and living room. Apparently they are the last thing to be done. I had a few issues with wall papering - usually me just being completely thick! However I think they are coming together really well. I am using real wallpaper from sample books - this does mean that I can't use the same on all the walls of a room - but I do have them all going together nicely and once all the other stuff (furniture, fireplaces and drapes) are in, they won't be hugely noticeable anyway. Val really likes the living room wallpaper - Norm isn't quite so sure!

Obviously I still have skirting boards etc to add. I am still considering my options for those!

I'd like something around the ceiling - to fit in with the era of the house. I have ceiling roses - 3 of them probably for dining, living and master bedroom. I'm going to a dollhouse shop on Saturday - the only one in our city - an internet based shop that you can make an appointment to go visit. Those are the things I want to look at - crown molding, skirting.....etc.

O-o-o-o lucky you. I'd love to go to a brick and mortar place and actually touch and see the items. It's so disappointing sometimes when an order arrives and it's just not quite what you thought it would be. Hope you find just what you are looking for.

Love your wallpaper, btw. It's very elegant, just enough design to accent and not overpower your future decorations and furniture.

I've pulled all the walls down and decided to do panelling. I've been thinking about it and figured I'll be disappointed if I don't! Off to the shop in 30mins!!!
