Telescope.
Well I found some square dowel rods and used my dremel to "mold" them into something resembling little legs for the plaid wing chair; they didn't take stain well so I am thinking I will paint them at some point. I also put cord on the chair, and made a little pillow stuffed with seed beads:
A colleague found some little pieces at a junk sale and got them for me; there aren't any markings on the plastic table and chair set (which look half-scale to me, or at least 3/4 scale) but I really like them! Anybody recognize them?
I was looking at what2craftnow's mini telescope tutorial and meant to follow it, more-or-less, but I couldn't find my colored pencils to cut up, and I didn't have large gold stickers, so I sort of made up my own telescope out of different-sized dowel lengths, black enamel paint, and the gold-colored borders on those address labels that you get free in the mail! I used 1/8" basswood for the legs (cut at an angle and sanded to round off the edges), bits of different gold chains, part of a fancy button, and a jewelry component that I found on sale at Hobby Lobby that I thought would make a good swivel support for the telescope.
Whoops, the desk lamp has been traveling around... I really need a desk chair; I have a HOM kit chair in place right now but it's not detailed enough for me. Maybe I will play around with some spindles, or maybe I will think about a stool...
The shar pei is just visiting; I ordered a little scottie dog on eBay and am curious to see how he will fit in here!
