Well here I am waiting for my Spring Fling house to arrive, but the tracking no. says not 'til Monday. Oh well, it gives me a chance to vacuum up the craft room and make some progress on the Willow:

I had a time figuring out where all the front door trim pieces are supposed to go. I almost just left them off, but then I was determined to figure it out. So I looked at the closeup photos for the half-scale Willow on the co. store site and that helped me out alot. I couldn't find any closeup pics of the fullsize Willow kit, and the builds I've found in the gallery seem to have used minimal parts from the kit for the front door assembly...! Well my version probably isn't quite the original concept, but I think it's pretty close. I still have alot of trim work to do on it though, before I'm done with it.

I also painted the undercoat for the stonework. Got a bit here and there on the stained trim but that's OK because I'm not done trimming the trim...! The next step is breaking out the egg carton and snipping away, but that might not happen for a while if I get the Spring Fling in the mail soon!

Edit: I also decided to go ahead with dormers in the roof so I measured to match the window lineup (and so that with the angle, the window will be the size of a single casing from the lower windows) and used my wheel sander on my dremel to cut them out.
