Arrival Day: Friday 10-31-08

Right on time for Halloween! I had wanted to take her downtown with all the other tourists but it was just too crazy down there and she's such a tiny little thing that i didn't want to take the chance! We listened to the madness on the scanner instead! She did get to "Trick or Treat" a little but and i think she was very happy with that!

Day One: Saturday 11- 01-08

Molly came to Salem Hospital with me this morning to help me register patients! She helped me with about 22 people but we snuck in some time to take a few photos! She was a very quick learner! It was a little hard for her to type because she had to hop from key to key and by the time we got out of there she was just exhausted! After we can home, Molly took a nap while i made her a witch hat, cape and broom so she could dress up tomorrow when we go out to see the sights! I also made here a purple mattress, comforter and pillow to go on her pretty purple and white bed.

Day Two: Sunday 11-02-08

My Birthday! Molly spent the morning with me hanging out and making friends with my mini-anne. Then in the afternoon she went out with my daughter Christina, My son Ricky and my niece Julianna to see the sights. They were out for hours! They went to see a lot of the tourist spots such as the Corwin House also known as the Witch House, The Witch Museum and The Witch Memorial dedicated to the innocent people killed in the witch hysteria

They stopped for a photo in the oldest burying ground in the city called "The Burying Point". Some how along the way they managed to run into the General Lee! Molly looked for Luke and Bo Duke but didn't see them, lol!

.

Molly was absolutely amazed when she saw the Friendship! It's a beautiful vessel to see in person! She said she never expected to see a big boat here but she learned in the Friendships visitors center that the ship is a reconstruction of a 171-foot three-masted Salem East Indiaman built in 1797 and that she is a fully operational sailing vessel but stays close to home so that everyone can come aboard. On special occasions she sails as Essex County's flagship, visiting ports along our coast to join in maritime festivals and events. Salem has an incredible maritime history that gets overshadowed by all the witch stuff! Molly wanted to let the first graders in Mrs Pohlabels class see a photo of her with it so she made sure to get a good picture of it!

We're also blessed by some incredible architecture ( http://www.salemweb.com/guide/arch/ if anyone would like to look) but by then I think Molly was much too worn out to keep walking so they headed home for birthday cake, which by the way was a Godiva Chocolate Cheesecake from the Cheesecake Factory! There was pizza too and by the end of the night Molly had a full belly! She probably gained a full pound from the cake alone! lol!

Later at bedtime Anne asked if Molly could sleep in her dollhouse but since Annes room isn't finished they had to sleep in Andys room. There wasn't much room in there after squishing Mollys bed in but they didn't care! I could hear them talking and giggling all night! I didn't yell at them to go to sleep because i knew they didn't have much time to spend together. They have become very close friends and Anne will miss Molly very much!

Day Three: Monday 11-03-08

Molly got to go see one of my very favorite things here in Salem, the "Bewitched" statue! It was given to us by the tv channel TV Land dedicated to the tv show Bewitched and it's beautiful star Elizabeth Montgomery! we've included 2 photos, one is a bit far away and you really can't see Molly in Samanthas hand but the other is more close up! Molly said that she had never seen the show so i told her all about it and that it was my very favorite tv show when i was growing up! in fact i still love it so much today that have been researching the house and drawing up plans to build it as a dollhouse! Oh, and yes my favorite episodes were the ones where they came here to Salem and to Gloucester! I've been luck enough to live here in Salem and on December 1st i'm moving to Gloucester! What a small world! If we had had more time i would've taken Molly on a trip down to Gloucester to see the Fisherman Memorial statue too but maybe next time!

Well...Time to go! We are all so very sad! Anne and Molly hugged all the way to the post office and they insisted on one more photo before Molly would let me close the box!

Now she's off to Maine! I know she will have a wonderful time! Even thought we are sorry to see her go we are glad that we got to spend the time with her!
