Arrival Day

Molly arrived safe and sound. She was greeted by RL Twinkle and Selkie as well as dh Twinkle. dh Wolfie the golden retriever was there too. dh Twinkle had prepared fresh muffins and hot chocolate for refreshments. Molly chose not to have tea or coffee. After that, RL Twinkle and her little sister explored all the treasures that Molly has collected. They tried out the beautiful violet covered bed that someone has given her. It is beautiful. Selkie helped them read the journal of her adventures. Twinkle showed Molly around the RL house and the newly rehabbed Sweetheart dh. After that, it was time for supper and bed. dh Twinkle showed Molly where her bedroom would be. dh Twinkle slept on the living room couch so Molly could have her own bedroom and gave her a hot pink bunny to sleep with and she wore her new pink and white nightie and snuggled on her new pillow that Selkie made for her to take home.

Day 1

Molly got up early and snuck downstairs and cooked Twinkle and Wolfie a huge breakfast. After she had it all ready and the table all set, she went in the living room and woke up Twinkle. They had a delicious breakfast of croissants, fresh challah bread, waffles, oatmeal, bananas, bacon and eggs, toast, orange juice and hot chocolate. Then they went upstairs to wash up, brush teeth, get dressed, and make their beds.

RL Twinkle and her sister went off to school and Molly took a little bit of time to call home and check on THmimi2. She and Twinkle’s little baby brother got acquainted under Selkie’s supervision. Later on, dh Twinkle and Molly cleaned the house a bit. They swept, mopped, and vacuumed and moved the dining room rug and table out so they could play. Molly is a good worker. They enjoyed rocking on the rocking horse that Twinkle had designed for Molly. She is bringing that home with her.

After a while, the rest of the dh family came to meet Molly. There was the whole dh family, Selkie (Grammie), little sister Heidi and little brother Bob, cousins Kate and Nate, the big white fluffy stuffy dog, and of course Wolfie. They played outside with all the toys. After everyone else left, dh Twinkle and dh Selkie and Molly had a fun game of Monopoly.

Molly also checked out all of Selkie’s unfinished dh’s and craft projects and art studio pieces. She scolded the construction crew and RL Selkie about delaying all these wonderful projects. Point taken Molly !! Then it was time for supper.

After supper, Molly was feeling a little lonely for her forest friends so she went for a walk. She met all the other mini animals, 3 black labs, a golden lab, a herding dog, the Viking bike shop German Shepard pup, but best of all, as she walked into the forest area she meet her new friend Mary Moose. They had a long private talk out there in the quiet trees. When she came back, she was refreshed and ready to be tucked in to bed for a night of happy dreams.

Day 2

This day started out with a hurried breakfast because Twinkle needed to get to her soccer game. We packed up all the kids and hurried off. Molly cheered loudly for Twinkle’s team. They got to play on the big slide for a little while after the game. Then it was time to go home. We had a special treat of hot muffins from our local coffee shop that RL Twinkle and her dad stopped to pick up. Yummy !! Selkie got a super sized coffee – just in time! Then it was play time. RL Twinkle and Molly played Legos and Molly got to fit right inside and drive the Lego car they built. After lunch, Selkie had to go to work for a bit so RL Twinkle and Molly came along. Fixing computers is a talent we didn't know Molly had. Wow – what a smart little moose she is. After work and supper, we all relaxed a bit by having a fun tub time. RL Selkie has a whirlpool tub and Molly joined right in with RL Twinkle and her little sister. Off to bed with Wolfie keeping watch over us all.

Day 3

After breakfast we all got ready for church. Selkie had made her a new white eyelet dress to wear. She loved feeling pretty. Did you know that Molly can play the piano? She begged to try out the grand piano at church, so the pianist said she could have a turn. Wow is she ever good !! She also checked out the flower arrangements on the altar table that Selkie does to see if she approved of her choices for the day. We hurried home to get changed because today was the big 4H party.

Molly is a real party animal !!!! She loved the 4H party. She rode a horse with a RL girl named Molly. She entered the jack-o-lantern carving contest and won a pack of mini-M&M’s. She went through the haunted barn. She went on a hayride too !!! She watched the mummy wrapping contest. She didn't want to try that one herself. She collected some Halloween rings to bring home with her. She ate and ate and ate …. Whew !! Twinkle and Selkie hoped she wouldn't get a tummy ache. There was a lot of yummy country food to choose from. Boy was everyone tired afterwards. It was into bed early tonight !!

Day 4

Today was supposed to be send off day but Twinkle’s 3^rd grade class was anxiously awaiting her visit so we delayed her leave. The class of 22 children all met her and looked at the huge notebook that Twinkle has been compiling of the Greenleafers pictures, country and state info, maps, and blog notes. They loved seeing all the treasures that Molly has collected. They especially loved the Scottish Tam, Purple witch’s hat and the Cowboy hat. The class decided that Vermont Maple Sugar Candies would be a good idea for Molly to bring home so Twinkle packed them too.

After school Molly made a visit to Selkie’s art studio. RL Twinkle and dh Twinkle each did her portrait. She is quite the model.

Send Off Day

Molly had breakfast with the RL family and dh family and then it was out to the bus stop with the girls. Then it was back inside and time for the final packing. Molly really didn't want to get into her box. She had a little bit of a temper tantrum. But after she realized she needed to zoom on to the next stop to go trick or treating, she jumped right in and off to the Post Office we went.
