I'm getting very excited about this! i popped the roof panels out of the sheets to dry fit them and it really gives me an idea of how the 3rd floor will look. i will really make it useable space. I am taking a lunch break and hope to get all the roof panels sanded and glued into place today. then i'll cut one more octagonal opening for a replacement window and fill in a couple of more areas taht used to be windows but are now doorways (just need to fill in the rounded area). Then i think i will call it a day. I dry fitted the staircases and love how they are turning out. I will probably have to fill in the openings by 1/3 or an inch. haven't decided whether to fill it in or no yet, but most likely. i'll save that for another day after the staircases have been stained and glued together so i can get an accurate idea of where they are going to go. I will also have to do some floor/wall modifications where the stairs come up thru the next level. I have some interesting ideas and you won't see anything like this in another Garfield . I really want to get this to the stage that I can prime it so that you don't see all the defects and can really get an idea of where i'm going with this project. I tried to show Andrew but I don't think he can see past all the modifications. I just don't think he can picture my idea yet. Well, i'm thru for the day. got the roof glued into place. i'm pretty excited to accomplish as much as i have this weekend! So hopefully on tuesday i can spackle.
