More trim and such.

Well I haven't posted in a couple weeks, a bit of travel and alot of work, so picking away here and there at trim and getting down to some of the finer points. I did some panel work in the 2nd floor bedroom, with some Kate Greenaway storybook pictures that I found here:

I think I will add some trim to the ceiling, like lattice-work. That ceiling just sort of took on a meandering path of its own-- that is tulle or something that I attached to it... Some lattice will make it look neater...

I got some work done in the bathroom, attaching the tulip lights and putting together the mirror and medicine cabinet pieces from Corona Concepts furniture kits that I had sitting around; I'll cover the wires with a bit of wallpaper, I think:

You can't really make it out, but the cabinet door is hinged (sewing pins) and I put a shelf inside. The wall facing the doorway is bare because I plan to put together that towel rack from the kit and mount it there.

I did quite a bit of work on the drawing room trim, and put some sealer on it:

Now it's ready for pelmets and draperies and window treatments (with which I intend to cover those unfinished bay edges), as well as a nice cluttered assortment of portraits and pictures; I need something grandiose to put over the fireplace... Maybe I can find some of those party picks shaped like swords, or maybe I'll frame up some family pictures... I made some shades for the windows, using a design that I used in the Pierce-- liked it so much that I decided to do the same thing here:

The ends are now curled up and waiting for a curtain rod. Last time I used toothpicks with beads on the ends, but I think this time I will use florist's wire.
