MiniJenny
I'm looking for opinions/suggestions about what to do for a base for the Pierce I'm building for my daughter. She wants landscaping, so I was thinking of using foam core to make it easier to do that, but not sure if it will support the weight of such a big house. We also want to add a turntable and maybe casters to make it easy to turn and to move. We'll have electrical components underneath the house. What do you think? Plywood/MDF or thick foam? Or thinner foam on top of plywood? And what dimension do you think would be enough for some nice landscaping?
LPCullen
I create a base using 1/2 inch plywood and moulding to go around the edges. I put 1/2 inch foam into the base for landscaping purposes. So far I’ve not had a problem with it.
MiniJenny
Thanks! I'd love to see a picture of the moulding you use.
LPCullen
Me and this phone don’t get along too well so I can’t link you but if you can find my albums there’s one where I put the Madison and the Adams together on a base
