This is the floor, made from Skinny Strips, stained with leftover glaze from a Faux Leather paint project. For the steps, I sprinkled florist sand on top of gloms of grey paint; the thicker paint areas give a bit of shading, so if I squint it looks vaguely like cement to me. When I did the floor I had in mind an ancient wreck of a house I lived in with old wide plank floors that had serious gaps and alignment problems.
