This is a side view of the new basement. the main house has an overhang which will now become a balcony and in front of the garage on the lower level it will be like a covered walkway. The top part will have a railing of some sort. A lot of the pictures of the houses in Key West (where this house is modeled after) have balconies.

It looks like at the top a piece is cut out but it is a piece of blue tape holding something I am not sure what in place.
