The bricking for the foundation and fireplace are experiments with foam sheets. I couldn't find anything local with the colors I wanted and tried using egg cartons but just couldn't seem to get it right. I bought plain brown and grey color foam sheets for only a few cents, used various shades of acrylic paint I already had to texture, and then scored the brick shapes with a sharp pencil.
