conceptual drawing of hollow wall construction

This is my first serious attempt at hollow wall construction. <br><br><ol type="1"><li> Design dollhouse, roombox or vignette in Sketchup (3D)</li><li> Copy to CorelDraw (2D)</li><li> Print out templates (you could draw the walls on graph paper)</li><li> Cut frame (stripwood) to template specs</li><li> Glue frame together (clamp &amp; weight down for 20 mins.)</li><li> Glue matboard (exterior skin) to frame (weight down for 20 mins.)</li><li> Trim matboard to fit frame &amp; cut out any openings</li><li> Glue matboard (interior skin) to frame (weight down for 20 mins.)</li><li> Trim matboard to fit frame &amp; cut out any openings</li><li> Weight down over night</li></ol><br><br>I think I've found my scratch building process !! <img src="http://www.greenleafdollhouses.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/default/in_love.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="&lt;img src='http://www.greenleafdollhouses.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/default/in_love.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='&lt;img src='http://www.greenleafdollhouses.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/default/blink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /&gt;' /&gt;" border="0" alt="in_love.gif"> <br><br>The template insures an accurate &amp; square section, the matboard can be cut with a utility knife, yu just need a saw to cross-cut the studs (I cut my own stripwood to save $), its lightweight &amp; strong (easy on your back &amp; lower shipping amounts), you can drill holes at the top &amp; bottom of the walls / floors &amp; feed bell wire through them, also very easy to drill holes or cut openings in the matboard for lights or outlets...
