I love this. I build dollhouses for children who have cancer. One of the doctors has asked me to build a house with the theme "Back to school" for a fundraiser they are holding in October so your house is an inspiration for me. Can you tell me where you found the desks and some of the other minis that you used. I really want to make this as realistic as possible.

Thanks for any ideas.

Thank you! The desks came in a box lot from ebay. I have two left, and two chairs (one needs a leg fixed) and you are welcome to them. I have a wood playground slide, swing, and merry-go-round (needs glue) if you want them. I'll send pics. Oh, I also have two small blackboards on stands. One's green with a white drawing on it; the other is black with the numbers 1 2 3 on it -- it's missing a support but it's fixable. There's a small doll who fits into the swing, and some others but they're mostly older styles. I send pics of them, too.

I painted the big blackboard on the wall and then framed it in. The cork is shelf lining, but you can get a thinner cork in the scrapbook section, and it's self-adhesive. The small slates are from woodsies. The books I made from instructions here on the board. Some of my more modern ideas were crayon boxes, laptops, notebooks, etc. from Jim's Printables. I made lots of posters, too, but then they didn't fit.

There are lots of school supply websites that have bulletin board and classroom decoration ideas.

We can brainstorm, ok?
