After the last of the children had grown up & moved on, the elderly couple decided to enjoy their time doing what they loved most. They opened B&D's Birdhouses & Baskets, where they were able to create handmade baskets & beautifully detailed birdhouses. They set up a welcoming country store & an upstairs room where they work together on their projects. The loving details in their creations have become well known & people travel for miles around just to see the newest creations and enjoy the natural beauty that surrounds the store. For them, it is a dream come true!
