A closer view of the stairs--you can tell the floor is shiny. No wallpaper was put up, which means I had to remove the stairs. Easy enough since they were put together with hot glue, and were wobbly anyway. Luckily, the walls and other floors are coming apart, too.

The stairs are now sanded, redone with wood glue, and getting a nice mahogany stain before being reinstalled. Thank goodness the instructions were still in the box!
