Gillian also told us a little known fact about a suffragette, Emily Wilding Davison, she was the one who died when she threw herself under the kings horse. Well at the back of this chapel is a little broom cupboard and she hid her self in here for one night so she could register her address on the 1911 census as the Houses of Parliament, thus procuring herself a vote. We went into that tiny cupboard and saw the plaque on the back of the door for her
