Fiona, at the Bridge since 2/23/06

There's something missing in my home.

I feel it day and night.

I know it will take time and tears

Before things feel quite right.

But just for now, I need to mourn,

My heart it needs to mend.

Though some may say "she was just a dog",

She was for years my closest friend.

She brought such richness to my life,

And purpose to my days.

A constant friend through joy or loss,

With amusing Scottie ways.

Companion, friend and confidante,

Whose love I can't forget.

She left her pawprints on my heart,

My sweet forever pet.
