1/4 scale picnic luncheon
Today I did something I hope I never have to do again ... put together a quarter-scale picnic lunch.
As I was carefully cutting pepper seeds into eighths for potato chips and trying not to breath so the 1/64" pickle chips wouldn't blow away, it hit me: this scale is for somebody else to do!
But despite this revelation, I persevered and ended up with a cute little picnic luncheon. Slicing a hamburger bun roughly 3/16" in half is a real challenge.
The components:
Scale ... the tabletop is hardly as big as my thumbnail!
The finished feast. The 2-layer cake is in the box that held the components. The mustard and catsup bottles (at roughly 1 o'clock) were made from bits of toothpick. The candle is a teensy bit of plastic stuck in a blue & white bead. The glasses (about 8 o'clock) are clear bugle beads. Jan McCandless, the instructor made the buns, hamburgers, cake, and condiment bottles ahead of time.
Th-th-that's all, folks!
