3/23/06, interior, upstairs

I installed the baseboards I'd painted white in the living/ diningroom.

I used scrapbook borders I had left over to make baseboard trim in the kitchen.

I use some other leftovers to trim the bathroom's two walls.

Then I cut and painted the bedroom's baseboards.

I painted the interior of the roof white.

Next I installed the bathroom floor with wallpaper paste (well, it IS wallpaper, after all  ).

Then I got carried away with the white glue and smeared it all over the remaining floor with my fingers; did THAT ever feel great! (No, Andrew, I did not sample any of it ;) ) I had to wash it all off quickly and dry my hands thoroughly to apply the carpet fabric. It's still not dry six hours later, but after a couple of hours it had set up enough I could trim the overhang and such.

I cut down a craft stick and painted it to make a threshold between the bedroom and the bathroom and stuck it in place.

Next I painted the interior upstairs window frames

and when they were dry I glued in the acetate inserts. I have them clamped to the window openings to dry straight.

I glued the bedroom baseboard to the foot of the walls. Because of the way the back gables of the roof are open, I had to cut down a piece of the siding to seal the exposed cut edges of the foamboard divider wall. The vertical side is almond to match the bedroom wall and the angled side is yellow to match the bathroom. Once the baseboard on it was dry I glued the divider wall in place and used glue bottles to prop it until it's dry.

I have several pieces of currogated cardboard I shall lay out and piece on the roof parts and then spray with silvery chrome paint to make the tin roof. I think I want to work on the downstairs windows and the window treatments before I install the roof.
