Plans for children's attic room.....what do you think of these?

Please have a look at these....do you think this is relatively do-able for the Pierce? I'm thinking I could either do a bay or dormer above the kitchen. It's going to be a children's room - but I'd like to fit two children's beds.

I don't have the necessary clearance to view your links for some reason.

As to the dormers, they are not hard to add. They feel intimidating at the start but they really work out well. Twinkle added two dormers to her little Primrose, in addition to raising the sidewalls a bit, and ended up with enough room for a bathroom and a bedroom with bunkbeds.I can't find a finished picture right now but here are two from her construction stage.

This is a Primrose that I added a single center dormer onto. It does not have the raised wall height and with only a single dormer it doesn't give quite as much room as I had hoped for.

These two show how I was adding a giant dormer similar to an Orchid, with the roof becoming an added porch

Maybe they will give you some inspiration.

Thanks Selkie! Odd - I tried to bring the photos up in order to have a closer look and was told that I don't have permission!  I have put the roof on now - just taped, so now I have to figure how I'm going to alter it.  There is even less head height than I initially thought - only my girl can stand up in the middle.  I'm also considering where is best for the sky lights and whether I do one big one or several smaller.  Lots to consider!

Okay.  I think I'm going to change that roof (small roof) into a mansard - there are plenty of examples of Queen Anne style with up to 4 or 5 different roof types!  Then I will do a dormer with doors and put a little hand railing around the top of the kitchen bay like a little balcony.  That will open up that side.  Still considering the skylights....
