Mmmm! Ribs!

Here it is Memorial Day once more. We have two sons in the military--one of them overseas and we are proud and thankful for our military and what they sacrifice for our freedom to be here with family enjoying their company and having food together. My husband enjoys throwing some meat in the smoker so today it was baby back ribs! His dad and sister joined us and we enjoyed the food and the day together immensely! Now it's time to sit back and relax after the cooking marathon. Captain Morin is chilling in the workshop remembering friends from the Great War. Work will continue on the Summerhouse this week; but for today we sit and remember.

Good plan.

We went to a local parade since Twinkle was playing in the marching band for it. We saluted the Vets and ooooh and aaahh over the "old" cars and the fire trucks and all such manner of things. It was good to be out in the community with others sharing the wreath ceremonies and singing the patriotic songs. Course the little kiddos loved the candy being tossed from the parade members.

Bless your sons for their service to us all and to your family as you miss them.
