Country Cottage complete.
Well I actually boxed up the Country Cottage and put it in the mail yesterday (FedEx rate for delivery in a week wasn't too bad, surprisingly good actually) but before that, there was alot of shingling, for which I raided the poor Willow's shingles:
...And alot of trim! This is to give you an idea of how much trim we're talking here; mostly basswood until I ran out and had to use balsa for the long runs.
Here is a view of the underside; I think that this is my neatest wiring job yet, probably because there are only four lights! I ran the two interior lights down the inside of the staircase, and I ran the two porch lights under the siding down through the porch floor.
Here are some finished pics; I didn't have time to take the house outside to photograph so some are a bit dark. I made the porch swing from pieces of a dollar-store porch furniture kit that my mother found and sent to me a couple years ago (I made the Beacon Hill porch swing from the same kit), and I tried some tufting on the swing cushions. The chain part is just cobbled together from various hardware that I have.
The table and chair set came with that ugly oversized red check pattern so I ripped it off and made some new coverings; the tablecloth doesn't lie nicely but oh well. If I had had more time, I would have fiddled with this, as well as made some window boxes; all I had time to do in the way of flowers was the two flower pots and I would have liked to have done more flowers...
