Electrifying, floors, etc

Yay, got the lights in the post. I installed them into the dollhouse and plugged them in and they all went dark. After help from the lovely people on the Greenleaf forum we decided that it was the transformer that was a dud. Haven't made it to the shops yet to see if I can exchange it.

However as I could put the lights in, it meant that I could also finish the flooring. Originally I had thoguht to glue the last floor boards down, but then realised how difficult it would be to access the wires should something go wrong in the future. So I used double sided tape and stuck the boards down with that.

I could then also staine the floors. The dark redish colour on the middle floor looks great I think, and the colours upstairs and downstairs also look nice.

Along with the lights came tacky wax, so I could put the front on temporarily and position the moulding. Next is finish placing the wiring and then glueing!

These are the top floor lights. they all came with chains attached, but were hanging so far down that I removed the chains. I used the left over chains to extend the stairwell light so that it would hang down to the floor and light the stairs there.

This is a picture of the kitchen light with the plaster moulding. Again I removed the chain to shorten it.

This is the sitting room chandelier. It is still hanging down quite far, I'm going to wait til I put the furniture in before I decide whether to shorten it.
