1/10/08 Got the building dirty washed, the bricks painted and the stonework just lightly painted. Overall it's not quite the look i was going for. I had pictured a lighter dirty wash. Should have started out lighter, then added more color if it wasn't what i wanted. My brickwork turned out with more of a purple look than i had wanted. I had imagined deep dark reds and browns for the bricks. Ah well, at least practice on this house will help with future houses.

Today after running errands i want to concentrate on getting all the interior stuff done...so interior paint then gluing all the decorative pieces in place. I think the interior will be pretty much done today, then all i will have is the roof. I'm not sure i will work on that this weekend cuz i want to start on my next project.

Oh and i need to repaint the exterior decorative timbers. I had them a burnt umber and then i decided to weather them. Not a look i really want for this house, so i'll repaint all that today.

I love this kit and i want to build more!
