March 3rd, 2007. Okay, first off, i don't have any pictures downloaded yet i'll try to do that this evening!

Yesterday I spent a good portion of my day the the BH! I broke out the container of spackle and filled in the gaps on all the of the new trim that i've applied. I also ran a bit around the edges of the trimwork to fill in any no so smooth areas. I'll have the joy of sanding all of that today

I finally textured my foundation. I had several thoughts on how i would prepare my foundation....even considered majic stone but decided on an easy and quick solution. I just broke out the dry wall mudd and a damp sponge. I'm going to do a little bit of landscaping on this house, so i figure that the landscaping will cover up the foundation anyway. Plus i want to exterior to have a simply look, not over done.

I also thought i'd give the siding a shot around where the porch will be. I don't want to install the porch until that part is completed. I'm very very happy that i decided to side the house. It' actually going to much better than i anticipated. I love the way it's changing the look of the house! I did an experiement with my Burgundy colored paint for the house. I love it but then again it may be too much for this house. This morning i looked at it again. I'm loving the color again. Still undecided tho. I'm going to get the paint from the basement that i used in my real life bedroom. It's a deep red as well but less purple....hard to describe. Neither are quite what i had in mind but we'll see. I want a deep red for this house, so it will be one of the two.

Plans for today: sand the spackle down. Paint the foundation one coat (not sure of my color for the foundation yet) to seal and protect the dry wall mudd texture). I'd like to do the siding on the right upstairs wall. I'd also like to get my porch installed today! Oh wait, can't do that yet. I forgot that i have to spackle the posts. I think i'll do that first thing. So maybe i'll be able to sand them today at least....maybe tuesday on my next day off i'll be able to install the porch. Oh and i think i'll paint the dormer window parts so that i can get those installed as well! I am really loving this house. I'd build it again!!!!!! Pictures later!!!!
