Ballet Studio - February 28/07
Well, shingling and paperclaying are on hold . . . Brian tried to shingle with the vinyl slate tiles I bought, but we both hated them . . . that and they kept sliding off! So, I've ordered some cedar hexagon shaped shingles. Once they get here Brian will get the shingling done, I can paperclay the foundation and the exterior will be a done deal! Finally!!
So, while I'm waiting for shingles I decided to move on back into the interior. Today I finished Madame Riaboushka's Ballet Studio. She couldn't wait to get in there to practice . . . she's been getting a little rusty! As I find little balerinas that I 'fall in love with' I will add them to the studio. Madame must have students!
This is the studio to the left.
To the right.
The beautiful parquet floor!
The studio with furniture . . . I bought the radio cabinet thinking it would be a good addition to the studio, but I found a gorgeous phonograph player on eBay, so eventually I will replace the radio cabinet with the phonograph player.
And Madame Riaboushka dancing in her new studio!
I purposefully left off crown moulding over the windows because I want to make cornice boxes with the moulding and then add luscious curtains over the windows. I just have to find some fabric that will be worthy of the room! LOL!!
I also need to add ballet bars . . . I'm thinking dowels with some pretty beads ought to do the trick. I feel a trip to Micheal's coming on!
