Mini Man

Photo #3: Magistrate Bob likes to give lawbreakers a little lesson along with their fine. The county hasn't budgeted for a cash box, so Bob keeps the cash in a cigar box and the checks on the spike. His receipt pad is handy on the desk. There are no fine schedules posted. Magistrate Bob tends to vary the fines depending on his mood and how expensive the vehicle is. From her vantage point on the wall, Lady Justice is taken aback at the process. Mrs. Bob needs to mend Bob's robe; he caught the seam on the buckle of his overalls a while back and keeps forgetting to tell her about it.

General: This project was completed with materials on hand but for $1 spent for the wheels (from a dollar store dune buggy) and another dollar for the cloth for the judge's robe & curtains. The pickup was built of foamcore board. The tractor and Bob are on loan from the Mardi gras float. (Bob and Mrs. Bob love Mardi Gras. They go to New Orleans every year to help celebrate.) Accessories are made from printies and/or wood, except for three items from my stash: two chairs and the clock on the wall. The inspiration came from a cartoon I saw years ago of a motorized judge's bench zipping onto the road to collect a speeding fine.
