Of all the nerve....

Since I've chosen the color scheme for the downstairs and middle rooms of the Garfield, I'm having trouble with the third floor, she just isn't speaking to me right now. Though I've lovingly tried to bring her pieces together, I think she's upset with me that I've broken one lil' piece of door frame off twice now. Once while trying to remove and prepare her, and once while trying to do a dry run to assemble her. Maybe she's upset with me so she's not talking to me. I do see she's going to be quite the beauty when she's complete though. She will be majestic. The wallpapers chosen and paints, and stains are incredible. She is going to be an amazing house. I'm in love with one of the wallpapers. It's so pretty. I wish I had enough to cover my bedroom with it. :D I was thinking about looking for some fabric and redoing the bedroom furniture for the room that will be done with that wallpaper, because I'm not liking the furniture that will go in that room and the alternative isn't much better, so I think that is going to change. Also, the kitchen furniture is going to be swapped out, as well as the bathroom furniture, maybe. The rest of the furniture is looking good, I think. I repainted the nursery furniture, to a shabby chic white, because I didn't like the au' naturel wood color. I prefer white for the nursery so the walls can be any color I choose. I think we're going with pink. I have some cute pink wallpaper for the nursery. Anyway, I have to make a trip across to the post office today to send out for the Allison, (my next project.. Shhhhh don't tell the Garfield).. And I have company coming this afternoon, for tea, to plan a dinner next month (this is a big deal (dinner).). I hope by the time my company leaves this afternoon, my Garfield will have forgiven me and begin speaking to me again. I really do want to begin working with her again. I have to continue labeling the walls and wallpaper so I'll remember which goes where. So trying sometimes. :D Then I have to take her apart, so I can put the primer on, and then the wiring, and then the wallpaper, and then I get to stain the window frames, and then we can put on the baseboards, and oh my! the crown molding! if there is enough... I have to paint the ceiling too. I have some ceiling cover for the living room and dining room. Or maybe I'll use it in the kitchen. I haven't decided yet. Once it's done though, I'll be so happy she's finished! I can't decide yet if I want to paint the outside or if I want to do clapboard siding. I'm leaning toward the siding. I think she'll look grand with the siding. IF I do choose the siding, I'll have to add it later, and that means I'll have to paint it, each slat, individually, and glue each slat on, individually. Oi! Well, I'd have to anyway. Measure carefully, so as not to interfere with window frames and the like. Anyway, I guess I best get moving. I got stuff to do today.
