i bought 4 different styles of parquet flooring kits for this house well over a year ago thru Dejoux miniatures. I FINALLY stained the kits a couple of weeks ago. I decided to use this particular parquet (two different styles of kit) in this particular room instead of the office. I didn't think about the fact that the office is half the size....So of course I ran out of floor tiles to finish the room....so I have to wait until January to buy more. Anyway, I started installing this flooring yesterday and discovered that i'm missing a piece of the star kit...it's around here somewhere I hope...Anyway when i was installing the kit, there were no gaps yesterday, but definately a slight gap down the middle, which is emphasized by my camera flash. I hope it won't be really noticeable one I get furniture into this room. I can't wait to get the floor finished, I think after it has a couple of coats of varnish, it will have a beautiful color and shine and look like a rich color. This room was going to originally be the dining room but was thinking it will be a ladies office (desk, display cabinets). I guess i'll make the final decision one I try furniture in this room! Anyway, it was really hard to get good photos, but you get the general idea. Its quite a pretty color of stain in person.

UPDATE: i found the missing piece! Glued it in so that I don't lose it again! woohoo.
